about

This album was made, on and off, over a period of six years. I began recording in 2007, although some of the basic ideas date back as much as a decade further. My time spent living in Vermont had a significant influence on several songs. The original concept for the album was soon abandoned, and a new concept incorporating existing songs and unfinished ideas came together in 2009. The finished album adheres very closely to the second concept. Stylistically, I'm not sure what to call this album; it's influenced by hip-hop and progressive rock but resembles neither. Genre has never concerned me much. I've endured bouts of cancer, bankruptcy and homelessness in the last six years, which led to long delays in recording and preparation for release. I'm both relieved and sad to have finished it. Feel free to contact me at www.facebook.com/mrwilcoxmusic.

Update:

The Bay Area radio station KFJC has played songs from this album! They also posted a positive review of it at spidey.kfjc.org?p=14754.
